Food-wise, you can either go the whole hog by ordering a ribeye steak or house burger, or opt for a classic Dutch snack, Amsterdam frites from Zuyd with Brander mayonnaise, bitterballen or Dutch croquettes.
If you’re making a weekend of it, you can take advantage of the gym and sauna (3pm-10pm). Breakfast is excellent, omelettes made to order once you let staff know what you’re after.
One of three properties in the funky, urban Jaz in the City portfolio including Vienna and Stuttgart, Amsterdam currently has seasonal offers ranging from discounts of 10-30%, meaning you can snag a room for a little over €100. Demand (and prices) rise for major gigs and games, when you might find yourself paying something nearer to €200/room and more.
Adjoining Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station is directly connected on major rail lines with Amsterdam Centraal, Schiphol and main Dutch cities, as well as on city metro lines 50 and 54.
